Basingstoke Bulls 2 clinched the OKA Division 2 title for the first time in their history at the weekend with two comprehensive victories against nearest rivals Oxford Isis 2 and league newbies Oxford Isis 3.

The first match against Isis 2 was won 14-5 which put the Bulls top of the league, but not mathematically champions. They made sure of the title by putting 20 past Isis 3 (although possible tiredness meant the opponents scored 10)

The second team were formed last season as the club's ranks swelled and they narrowly missed out on the title in the debut year, as they finished behind Isis 2. This season has seen more stability within the divisions which has resulted in the Bulls pulling a insurmountable 5 point lead at the top with two games still to play. Isis 2 only have one fixture left with a maximum of four points available.

The first team will now look to emulate the seconds by clinching victory in the first division - a certainty if they win their remaining two games
